Check with us before harvest to make sure your moisture meter has the latest software and calibration updates.
USDA/GIPSA reviews and updates the UGMA Moisture Meter calibrations as needed every May 1st and August 1st.
Aside from actual calibration of your meter, these updates are the minimum that your moisture meter needs to stay in line with industry standards.
We’ll make the task of updating your meter simple.
Calibration Updates
Grain moisture meter calibrations are reviewed and updated periodically by the meter manufactures and other parties such as USDA/GIPSA and NTEP to maintain the accuracy of the meters in the grain trade. UGMA moisture meter calibrations are updated twice per year, every May 1st and August 1st.
If your Perten AM5200 shows “Service date has been reached” this is simply a helpful reminder that your meter does not have the latest USDA/GIPSA UGMA calibration updates installed. Updating the calibrations will clear the message. See our simple calibration update options below for your specific model.
